With the smooth vocals of The Ethiopians in front of the mix and the
organ sound in the background, they recorded Woman Capture Man. The
album is produced by J.J. Johnson, who was a major influence on Jamaican
ska and rocksteady music during the 1960s revolution.

Rocksteady, Roots und Dancehall ab, alles Bereiche, in denen Studio One
führend war.
Studio One Rockers enthält viele legendäre Studio One-Tracks, die zum
ersten Mal von Soul Jazz Records zusammengestellt wurden. Seit den
Anfängen des Reggae, als die Skatalites 1962 einen neuen Ska-Sound
entwickelten, bis heute ist Studio One die Nummer eins in der
jamaikanischen Musik. Auf dieser Zusammenstellung sind klassische
Ska-Tracks (»Phoenix City«), Rocksteady (»Feel Like Jumping«),
Roots-Musik (»Truth and Rights«), Dancehall (Freddy McGregor, Michigan
und Smiley) und viele mehr enthalten.
Hier sind viele der klassischen Titel von Studio One zu hören. Von Dawn
Penns legendärem »No, No, No« bis zu Klassikern wie Horace Andys
»Skylarking« und Marcia Griffiths »Feel Like Jumping«. Das Coxsone
Soundsystem war in den frühen 60er Jahren neben seinen Konkurrenten
