Hollie Cook ist eine britische Sängerin und Keyboarderin aus West-London, die vor allem für ihren modernen Lovers-Rock- und Reggae-Sound bekannt ist. Bemerkenswert ist ihre musikalische Herkunft: Ihr Vater ist Paul Cook, der Schlagzeuger der Sex Pistols, ihre Mutter Jeni war Background-Sängerin bei Culture Club und Boy George ist ihr Pate. 2006 stieß sie zur wiedervereinigten Frauen-Punk-/Reggae-Band The Slits um Ari Up. Nach den Slits entwickelte Cook ihre Solokarriere und arbeitete intensiv mit dem Produzenten Prince Fatty. Ihr Debütalbum Hollie Cook erschien 2011 bei Mr Bongo Records. Ihren Stil bezeichnet sie selbst als „Tropical Pop“ – eine Mischung aus Lovers Rock, Rocksteady, Reggae, Dub und 60s-Girl-Group-Pop. Zu ihren wichtigen Einflüssen gehören insbesondere Janet Kay und Phyllis Dillon.

The surf fanatic from the island of Tenerife recorded 15 demos with his co-producer and friend Toby Nambur (Six Nation) at Achinech Studio in the south part of the island.
